■PX T-SHIRT “85th FIGHTER SQ.”
From the sportswear series of Buzz Rickson’s—a brand dedicated to faithfully reviving classic military apparel for the modern era—comes a printed T-shirt for the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
This model features a design inspired by the 85th Fighter Squadron, formed in 1942 and commonly known as the “Flying Skulls,” printed on a sturdy 100% cotton body.
The eye-catching graphic centers on the unit’s insignia—a skull with wings—and is accented by the name of the legendary P-40 fighter aircraft manufactured by Curtiss that the squadron operated, as well as the American slang term “Airplane Rider,” meaning “pilot.”

■BUZZ RICKSON'S
A military brand that has garnered a loyal following since its founding in 1993, specializing in precise reproductions of vintage flight jackets.
While drawing on rugged military motifs such as unit insignia and nose art, the brand’s approachable designs—which often incorporate a touch of humor—have made its daily wear, including T-shirts and sweatshirts, highly popular.

■Body with a Smooth Feel
The body is made from BUZZ RICKSON'S original 100% cotton fabric.
It is knitted using open-end yarn, characterized by its uneven fibers and unique dry texture.
Designed with the military-issued underwear sold at base commissaries (PX) in mind, it features a thin yet rugged finish.

Additionally, the “tubular-knit body,” which is knitted in a tube shape to eliminate seams around the torso, ensures a soft feel against the skin and a comfortable fit.

■A Piece That Combines Design and Quality
The neckline is securely sewn with double-stitched ribbing.
From the back of the neck to the shoulders, the seams are covered with tape (taco binding), which prevents the neckline from stretching and ensures a comfortable fit by keeping the seams from touching the skin directly.
