The original N-1 deck jacket used jungle cloth (cotton grosgrain) for the outer fabric, but this model uses 4/1 cotton satin backing, which is often used for the M-65.
While the material is thick and heavy, it is a bit lighter than jungle cloth for comfort.
The lining is made of alpaca mohair wool pile, which has excellent wind-blocking and heat retention properties, making it ideal for winter protection.
The leather used for the zipper pulls and the piping on the rim pockets is bronco hide, which is used for the A-2.
The original image of the N-1 has been kept intact, but the new appeal of the N-1 has been brought out in this piece, which is full of ideas from Eighty.
