This is Lot,605-RD, a loose silhouette model of EIGHT-G's lot number 600 series, commonly known as the "Rokumaru series," with a used finish. The processing applied to the silhouette with a sense of presence created using vintage-like 15-ounce selvedge denim is handled by one of the best craftsmen in Japan with excellent skills, so you can enjoy a realistic finish that you would not believe is a processing. These high-quality Japanese jeans embody the brand concept of "durable, easy to wear, and cool," and are made at a dedicated domestic factory without compromising on fabric, sewing, or anything else.
The fabric is a 15-ounce selvedge denim made of a high-density, 6- and 7-ply yarn of Supima cotton from the United States, which is considered the "highest quality cotton" among cotton. Cotton is classified by the length of its fibers, and Supima cotton is one of the longest, exceeding 35mm, and has excellent durability and strength due to fewer joints in the yarn.
The used finish, which beautifully expresses the color fading and biting as the garment is worn in, as well as damage such as rubbing and staining, is carefully applied by craftsmen to each garment one by one. The contrast between the stitching on the back pockets, the selvedge marks on the outseams, and the puckering on the hems and seam joints all contribute to the realistic look of the garment.
Based on the classic 5-pocket jeans with timeless appeal, the V-stitching with a distinctive V-shaped fold seen on the side of the top button and hidden rivets behind the back pockets are details that follow the vintage look. The crotch rivets and offset center loops sewn diagonally to avoid hip seams also give a classic impression.
The silhouette is a loose straight with a slight taper from the knees down. We recommend wearing just the right size, or even an inch up to give it a looser look. Since the pattern was created through repeated trial and error, the exquisite silhouette looks beautiful from all angles, and can be worn in a wide range of ways and enjoyed without getting tired of it. The characteristic of selvedge denim is that it comes with ears, so it looks great even when rolled up, giving you a wide range of coordination options.
