This is a big waffle crew neck shirt with the theme of the “Recovery Team” that recovered the spacecraft and crew during the Apollo missions. As the letters on the back indicate, this team was deployed on the U.S.S. Hornet (CVS-12) during the recovery missions of Apollo 11, which returned on July 24, 1969, and Apollo 12, which returned on November 24, 1969.”
