■DELUXEWARE 20th ANNIVERSARY "BETSY ROSS"
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Deluxe Wear's popular Heavy Flannel series, the "BETSY ROSS" model, originally released in 2014, is being reissued.
Crafted from domestically produced flannel fabric with a nostalgic feel, this piece is meticulously sewn at our own factory, "Olduct," offering a vintage feel combined with the highest standards of modern quality.
Its beautiful silhouette, designed specifically for the Japanese physique, is also popular.
■Design themed around America's next step
Inspired by the Stars and Stripes that were born on July 4, 1776, to mark the American Revolution, the checkered pattern represents "Red for Courage, Blue for Justice, White for Sincerity." The model's name is named after Betsy Ross, the woman said to have designed the national flag.
The back features stars representing the 13 original states, evoking the image of someone carrying a star (state) on their back.
The fabric is heavy flannel from Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture, with a sturdy texture thanks to air-spun yarns.
It uses the "bonding" technique, which combines two different fabrics, and the slightly brushed backing gives it a soft, comfortable feel.
■Durable Vintage Stitching
The stitching is done at Deluxe Wear's own factory, Oldduct, using a rare vintage sewing machine, the Union Special.
A triple-needle chain stitch is used in areas that are subject to high stress, such as the shoulders and sides, for exceptional durability.
■Attention to Detail
The placket is cut in a straight line and then rounded over the side hem for a classic shape.
The brand name is stitched on all four sides of the back of the neck.
The buttons on each part have a recess in the center to prevent thread wear.
This is the fourth special project produced to commemorate Deluxe Wear's 20th anniversary.
This heavy flannel shirt, released in 2014, tells a story behind its checkered pattern. "July 4th, 1776, is a memorable day when America achieved independence and was born as a great nation. The Stars and Stripes, modeled after the 13 states (stars) and the red, blue, and white colors, was also born at the same time. The flag, which symbolizes the nation and embodies the red for courage, blue for justice, and white for sincerity, was created by a woman named Betsy Ross." We have transformed these red, blue, and white colors into a pattern, and created a shirt that depicts a man carrying the 13 stars on the ground. A shirt worthy of pioneers who take new steps and new beginnings together and accomplish something.
After many requests, we are now reissuing this shirt as a piece to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Deluxe Wear.
