The surface is a light brown body, which is very rare even for vintage garments; based on a piece from the mid-1950s, a dragon and tiger glaring at each other on the back and an eagle on the chest are embroidered in black colored threads. The body and lower sleeves are the same color, with black embroidery on the light brown monochromatic body, and the lines and ribs on the sleeve mounts are also combined with black monochromatic colors for a sophisticated finish.
The reversible side is embroidered with an eagle gliding over the sea in search of prey. The design, which is not realistic but moderately deformed, shows the sense of the craftsmen of the time. The colored threads of the embroidery have faded with age, and the light orange letters “JAPAN” stand out against the green acetate. The chest is embroidered with a dragon and tiger, and both sides have the three major motifs of the Sukajan: eagle, tiger, and dragon.
