This is a type MA-1, an intermediate zone flight jacket made by Buzz Rickson's, a brand that thoroughly analyzes yarn spinning and weaving, fabric materials, parts and forms, and revives masterpieces of flight jackets in the modern age.
The MA-1 is a timeless masterpiece in the history of flight jackets that has been used by numerous pilots as the pride of the Air Force, and its style is not confined to the military category, but has had a great impact on the fashion world as well, and is still an item that shows its presence as military wear.

The MA-1 is the most popular and longest-lasting of all flight jackets.
In the early 1950s, with the development of technology, jet aircraft began to replace propeller-driven aircraft in military aircraft, and the leather headgear used by pilots shifted to hard helmets. In order to solve this problem, the mouton collar was replaced with a rib-knit collar, which was a major improvement.
After that, it continued to be loved by U.S. Air Force generals for nearly 20 years until the CWU45/P appeared in 1976.
This product is a reproduction of the early type MA-1 that was delivered to the military by ALBERT TURNER & CO.
