The type A-2 is a Buzz Lixons leather flight jacket that has been thoroughly analyzed in terms of thread spinning and weaving, fabric material, parts and form to recreate the vintage charm of the original.
The A-2 was developed by the U.S. Army Air Corps and has different details depending on the time period and contractors (suppliers).
This model is supported by a sophisticated and simple design, a finish that can be enjoyed without getting tired of aging as it is worn, and a manufacturing process that is faithful to the vintage flight jackets made by Buzz Lixons.

The “TYPE A-2” leather flight jacket was officially adopted by the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1931 as a summer flight jacket.
It is a masterpiece of leather flight jackets, with approximately 700,000 pieces produced until 1943, and along with the Navy's G-1, it is a jacket that boasts high popularity among military wear enthusiasts.
The A-2, which had a zipper closure, is known as the standard flight jacket, and was loved by many pilots because of its dramatically improved functionality compared to the A-1, which had a button closure.
