Authentic American workwear
Sugar Cane offers a wide range of workwear such as shirts and jackets, mainly made of denim, in the Fall/Winter 2024 model.
Since Sugar Cane originally developed clothing for U.S. military bases, it is a brand that is supported by the spirit of craftsmanship and know-how, all of which are made in the U.S., even though it was born in Japan.
In addition, it has the charm that is not found in old clothes, saying that you can enjoy the change of texture by getting the shirt with the atmosphere of those days in a new state and wearing it by yourself, because it is reproduced the one that was analyzed in detail such as the number of colors of the pattern by putting scissors in the actual vintage shirt.
This product is a rayon shirt of the 1950s and 1960s that was manufactured by BRENT (Brent), which is a private brand of ARROW (Arrow), a long-established shirt manufacturer, and MONTGOMERY WARD (Montgomery Ward), which is famous for the three major stores in the United States, and is a long-established brand of wool wear. The pattern is based on the wool shirts of PENDLETON, and the ombre check is made of 4 colors of warp and 4 colors of weft in a thick count of cotton.
The yarn count and materials are different from the original, but the texture and deep colors are reproduced without losing their charm.

Yarn count...a unit for expressing the thickness of yarn

Chest pockets are placed on both chests.
Various shapes of pockets exist in work shirts, but this shirt uses a shape with rounded corners.
The fabric is bias-padded, which gives the design a unique flavor.
The collar is a regular collar with a pedestal collar, which is easy to wear with any style.

The buttons are the cat's-eye buttons that were popular at the time.
It is a detail that can be seen that the craftsmen of the time devised and produced this item so that the threads would be less likely to fray by cutting down the center.
Gussets are attached to both hems to prevent the front and back body from tearing.
Another typical detail of vintage work shirts is the “sky ring stop,” in which the seams are sewn from one direction and the threads are held together while still twisted.

The two needle winding stitching for strength, and the back yoke on the shoulders, which are subject to heavy loads, provide excellent durability and a finish that can be worn for a long time.
The resilient 100% cotton fabric is moderately thick yet stiff and sturdy, and can be enjoyed in three seasons from fall to spring, as it is easy to use either alone or as an inner layer.
