"MOEUHANE -DREAM CASTLE-"
This design is a reprint of a piece from Paradise Sportswear, which was founded shortly after the war and produced not only men's shirts but also dresses.
In addition to strong narrative messages such as Mo'euhane Dream Castle (a phantom castle in a dream) and Paradise Isle (a small island in paradise where dreams come true), this highly finished piece is filled with leis, hula dancers, and other motifs that symbolize Hawaii.
The composition is very unusual, depicting traditional Hawaiian life with a storyline and a lovely touch.
There are several patterns in the design of aloha shirts, but this is an all-over pattern, or what is called an "all-over pattern," which is characterized by the repetition and continuity of a certain pattern throughout the shirt.
Since it is the pattern that has been used the longest from the first period to the present, it can be said to be a royal design that greatly contributed to the spread of aloha shirts, and it boasts high popularity.
The print is made by using a technique called "Bussen," in which the pattern is extracted from the ground-dyed fabric with a Bussen agent and dyed with other colors at the same time.
