“Let's Go to Hawaii!” by Ryohei Yanagihara with MOOKIE
Everyone has seen the lovable character “Uncle Tris” at least once.
Its creator is Ryohei Yanagihara, a master of advertisement art whose works still influence many artists in Japan and around the world.
He has a deep connection with Hawaii, as he was involved in the “Let's go to Hawaii” advertising campaign in 1961, and Sun Surf has produced original aloha shirts in the past.
This new design was created by Mookie Sato, the only artist in the world who is officially authorized to modify Ryohei Yanagihara's designs, and a fan of his work herself.
